Breaking into the Ghanaian music industry is not an easy thing to do. One will have to pay money to djs, presenters and even producers to get their music played. Others go to the extreme of sleeping with people in the industry to get an opportunity but one other thing that has suddenly become the norm is the exposure of parts of their bodies in both pictures and music videos. We saw how artists like Lord Paper and others got noticed as musicians.
Other person who has also become a suspect in this behavior is Rufftown Records’ Ebony. The young Ghanaian who broke into the Ghanaian music seen in 2015 seems to be one of the musical acts who will be first mentioned when names of people who exposes parts of their bodies.
Though in the past artists like Mzbel and Eazzy did something like what Ebony is doing at the moment, it seems the poison hitmaker is over doing it which makes it very alarming. One may ask, She said she is the 90’s bad girl so what is your problem or why are you lamenting?
It seems the team managing the girl are trying to make the talented singer an established artist and by doing that they make her do things that are sometimes extreme. Things that will make parent prevent their children from watching. Things that will make the news for just a week or two and die off. Things that people will call alarming. So my question is, if the future generations are prevented from watching your stuffs, if people have issues with whatever you do, who are you trying to please?
It will be sad if one day we wake up to see Ebony naked in a music video all in the name of show business.Unless that’s what the people at Rufftown Records want for the girl.
